Jesus Heals Jairus' daughter! Through Jairus' faith!!!

Mark 5:21-24
21 Now when Jesus had crossed over again by boat to the other side, a great multitude gathered to Him; and He was by the sea. 22 And behold, one of the rulers of the synagogue came, Jairus by name. And when he saw Him, he fell at His feet 23 and begged Him earnestly, saying, “My little daughter lies at the point of death. Come and lay Your hands on her, that she may be healed, and she will live.” 24 So Jesus went with him, and a great multitude followed Him and thronged Him.
Mark 5:35-43
35 While He was still speaking, some came from the ruler of the synagogue’s house who said, “Your daughter is dead. Why trouble the Teacher any further?”
36 As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, He said to the ruler of the synagogue, “Do not be afraid; only believe.” 37 And He permitted no one to follow Him except Peter, James, and John the brother of James. 38 Then He came to the house of the ruler of the synagogue, and saw [a]a tumult and those who wept and wailed loudly. 39 When He came in, He said to them, “Why make this commotion and weep? The child is not dead, but sleeping.”
40 And they ridiculed Him. But when He had put them all outside, He took the father and the mother of the child, and those who were with Him, and entered where the child was lying. 41 Then He took the child by the hand, and said to her, “Talitha, cumi,” which is translated, “Little girl, I say to you, arise.” 42 Immediately the girl arose and walked, for she was twelve years of age. And they were overcome with great amazement. 43 But He commanded them strictly that no one should know it, and said that something should be given her to eat.

I Love this story, because it highlights exactly where I have been many, many times in my own life. Standing in faith...and the enemy attacks to shake the faith that had gotten me to where I was at the very moment. Jairus had faith. He had never met Jesus before this moment, but he knew Jesus could heal his daughter. All based on what he had heard of the character and nature of Jesus. How many of you understand that as soon as you start to believe in something...the enemy will send the attack! Sometimes things even feel like they are getting worse, as you step out in faith. It took great faith, as a leader in the synagogue to even come to Jesus. But, his situation was at the point of death. When he was still believing that Jesus could heal his daughter...the enemy brought the lie! You have to look at what Jesus did here. He did not let Jairus speak to the lie or speak about the lie! He said in verse 36, "Do Not be afraid, only Believe"! Your faith has brought you this far Jairus, don't let the enemy take the victory from you! At this point, Jesus knew he needed people of faith to walk this road with HIM. So, He permitted no one to follow them, except Peter, James, and John the brother of James. Then, when they got to the house, Jesus had to speak against what they saw. There was tumult, or an uproar, of sorrow happening. The bible says, people were wailing and crying. Jesus walks in and says "Why make this commotion and weep, this child is not dead, but only sleeping"! Now, what Jesus did next was so very important. He put those that ridiculed HIS faith outside! Sometimes when we are going through things, it is vital to put those who will only speak negative, or those who will make fun of your faith, OUTSIDE! They will not help or encourage, so it is okay to not let them be apart of your miracle. So, the bible says Jesus only took in the father and mother, and those who were with him. When they got in the room where the girl was lying, Jesus took her by the hand. Notice, Jesus never said she wasn't dead! Because, that was irrelevant! He just told her to arise, and she did!

This is what happens, Church, when we "Only Believe." Faith is a choice we make daily. Fear is a lie we must reject daily.

Good word

Great word of encouragement. What we dwell on will compel us. Jesus really meant it when he gave them ( his disciples , meaning us to) authority over demons and to heal every kind of disease and every kind of sickness .
